DR BERNARD HERDAN CB
Dr Herdan CB is the former Chief Executive if the National Fraud Authority where he established NFA with remit to enhance, galvanize and coordinate action to make the UK a more hostile environment for fraud; was responsible to the Attorney General and then Home Secretary for the leadership of counter-fraud activity across the public and private sectors; delivered the Action Fraud reporting service; and was responsible for leading the 50 NFA staff and managing a budget of £5m p.a., and took NFA into long term sustainability. Dr Herdan is the former Chief Executive of Security Industry Authority, Executive Director of PLannind and Delivery, Identity and Passport Service, and the former Chief Executive if the UK Passport Agency.
Dr Herdan is a Trustee at Victim Support and Bedford Citizens Advice Bureau. Dr Herdan is Non-Executive Director/Deputy Chair of Bedford Hospital, NHS Trust. He is a graduate of Cambridge University, Bristol Polytechnic/Bath University, the University of Bedfordshire and has received the Companion of the Order of Bath. Dr Herdan is committed to supporting the work of CAADV.
